CGW ABRASIVES
AZ / Premium blue aluminum oxide: Particularly suited for grinding high speed steel over 55RC. Specially recommended for grinding heat sensitive steels like aluminum and stainless steels. It grinds with an exceptionally cool cutting action. Requires minimum dressing.
This wheel was developed by CGW for high speed steel applications on materials 55RC and above but also can be used on general tool steels. The bond is designed to cut freely while pulling the heat away from the part and into the wheel.
The CGW grinding wheel is made up of abrasive grains held together by a bond. By varying the properties of the abrasive, the type of bond and the structure of the wheel, it is possible to produce numerable grinding characteristics.
