Recommended for high production milling in difficult to machine materials such as Inconel, Hastalloy, Titanium alloys and other materials up to 40 Rc. Fine Pitch Roughers produce a smooth finish that often eliminates the need for a finishing cut.
SUPERIOR ROUGHER DESIGN: Made from Premium M-42 8% Cobalt steel with ground form knuckle tooth geometry that reduces drag and friction. Each knuckle tooth is staggered and ground perpendicular to tools rotational axis for free cutting action.
Microshield™ TiCN – Titanium Carbonitride: Incorporation of Carbon into the TiN matrix to increase hardness and abrasion resistance. TiCN is an alternative to TiN for HSS and HSCO applications where additional wear resistance is required. Primary Solid Carbide applications are milling Aluminum Alloys and Cast Iron.
